Vol. 469 No. 1

Written Answers. - EU Presidency.

Seamus Brennan

Question:

561 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade the estimated total cost to his Department of all bulletins, pamphlets, newsletters and circulars arising from Ireland's Presidency of the EU; and the estimated total additional cost to his Department of Ireland's Presidency, indicating the major items of expense. [16391/96]

My Department has not published any Presidency-related printed material and therefore there are no costs involved. A sum of £52,000 has been set aside in my Department's administrative budget to cover Presidency-related costs. The major items being covered by this amount are the informal Trade Ministers meeting which I hosted in Dublin Castle on 18-19 September and a separate meeting of officials of the EU Export Credit Group scheduled for 17-18 October which will also be held in Dublin Castle.
