As indicated in my reply to a similar question earlier in the year, IDA Ireland employment surveys are carried out in November of each year and, therefore, the figures for 1996 are not yet available. In 1995, the total number of new jobs established nationally from overseas companies was 11,500 while the number of new jobs in counties Monaghan and Cavan for the same period were 41 and 79 respectively.
