Question:617 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be paid the second instalment of the REP scheme. [16254/96]
Written Answers. - REP Scheme.
The person concerned applied for his second year payment under the REP scheme. However, under revised monitoring and control procedurres implemented by my Department, compliance checks are required to ensure that farmers have completed the specific works outlined during the first year of the plan before second year payments can be made.
A compliance check will be carried out on the applicant's farm shortly and assuming all is in order payment will issue as soon as possible thereafter.
