63 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the number of persons employed by him on a full-time, part-time and contract basis for the duration of the Irish Presidency of the EU; the total costs involved in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17224/96]
The services of a conference organiser has been engaged by my Department on a contract basis to organise two conferences. The organiser has been employed for the task of organising the proposed conference in November on disability equality and to organise the Seminar on 7-8 October 1996 to launch the "EU Fourth Medium-term Action Programme on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men (1996-2000) — Mechanisms for Mainstreaming". The cost of employing the conference organiser is in the region of £11,000.
