Question:

88 Miss M. Wallace asked the Minister for the Environment the organisations, if any, the interdepartmental committee has consulted and met with in preparation for the transfer of the administration of the social welfare allowance rent and mortgage subsidy scheme from the health boards to local authorities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17262/96]

The interdepartmental committee advertised in the national press on 7 May last for submissions from interested parties and received 35 submissions, which are being examined by the committee. The organisations which made submissions are listed in the following table.
