Question:

100 Miss M. Wallace asked the Minister for the Environment the number of jobs from his Department which were decentralised in each of the past 15 years on a county basis; and the location to which the jobs were transferred on a county basis. [17448/96]

The services provided by approximately 100 professional/technical staff, who operate in various areas around the country, are also managed from Ballina.
In addition to the foregoing, the headquarters of the Environmental Protection Agency has been established in Wexford where 65 staff of the agency are already based; additional staff will be based at Wexford as the phased build-up of staffing continues.
