42 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for the Environment the timescale for the commencement and completion of work on a sewerage scheme and treatment work for Kinsale, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17609/96]
My Department has requested Cork County Council to review the preliminary report for the Kinsale sewerage scheme in the context of the council's proposals for sludge management. The council's response is awaited. Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve the preliminary report for the scheme.
