61 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in the payment of a control of farmyard pollution grant to a person (details supplied) in County Longford; and the reason payment cannot be made any earlier. [17577/96]

An application by the person in question under the control of farm pollution scheme was approved last year on the basis that payment would be made in 1997, subject to the approved works being completed in accordance with my Department's specification.
