Written Answers. - Reopening of Donegal Road.
I refer the Deputy to my reply to her previous written question on 21 May 1996 (Official Report, Vol. 465, No. 6, Question No. 85) in which I indicated that Donegal County Council completed the reopening of the portion of the road in question in this jurisdiction in early 1995 and that the remaining section which lies in Northern Ireland was re-opened on 7 May 1996.
On my instructions, this matter has been checked again through the Anglo-Irish Secretariat and I can confirm that the British authorities state that this Border crossing was indeed re-opened on that date.
