166 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Health the current position regarding the proposed development works at University College Hospital, Galway; when work will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18517/96]
Limerick East): A tender for the interim development works at University College Hospital, Galway, has been selected. As all development works over £3 million must have the approval of the Department of Finance, the tender was forwarded to that Department for sanction. Discussions between my Department and the Department of Finance regarding this project are currently being finalised and it is expected that work on site should commence in the immediate future.
