Vol. 470 No. 3

Written Answers. - Missing Person Investigation.

Mary Harney

Question:

124 Miss Harney asked the Minister for Justice the status of an investigation into a missing person (details supplied); the number of people who have been questioned as part of this investigation; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [18935/96]

It is not the normal practice for the Minister to make statments to the House about the progress of individual Garda investigations.

All I propose to say in this case is that I have been informed by the Garda authorities that the disappearance of the person in question is the subject of a continuing major Garda investigation for which all necessary resources, including the support of the Army, are being employed.
