135 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications whether he or his Department authorised the privatisation of the rail-link services division of Iarnród Éireann; and whether he or his Department ensured that tenders were sought for this disposal. [20183/96]

As I indicated in my written reply to Question No. 262 on 30 October 1996, this issue is a commercial matter for the boards and management of Córas Iompair Éireann and Iarnród Éireann and one in which I have no function.
