100 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education if her Department has received a request for funding for a pilot educational support project for children at risk from the CBS boys' national school, James's Street and Mater Dei girls' national school, Basin Lane, Dublin 8; and if she will make the necessary funding available. My Department has received a request for funding from the project in question.
The schools referred to by the Deputy are already included in the scheme of assistance for disadvantaged schools. As such, they already receive enhanced capitation payments and other special funding. They are also in receipt of extra concessionary teacher posts.
The schools in question are also included in the home school community liaison scheme and have the services of locally based co-ordinators under this scheme.

Smith asked the Minister for Education if she will list the projects approved for financial assistance in 1996 under the major facilities scheme; the level of funding provided for each project; if further allocations will be made in 1996; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
