105 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Education the reason there is a discrepancy in the costings in relation to extensions at CBS Youghal, and Coláiste Eoin, Youghal, County Cork, particularly in fee structures for the new classrooms. [20151/96]
The cost limits set for building projects vary depending on the different type of accommodation required, whether specialist or general. The extensions proposed for the CBS Youghal and Coláiste Eoin, Youghal are two separate building projects consisting of different types of accommodation, therefore the cost limits set would not be the same. These cost limits are based on the advice of my Department's technical staff.
When agreement is reached with the CBS in Youghal concerning the cost limits set for this project, my Department will then be in a position to initiate architectural planning of the proposed extensions.
