Vol. 471 No. 4

Written Answers - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

129 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for the Environment the current stage of development of Carrickmacross sewerage scheme, County Monaghan which excludes the houses on the Castleblayney Road; and if he will provide funding in respect of this scheme. [20965/96]

A preliminary report for phase III (collection network), which proposes to provide for the connection of the houses along the Castleblayney Road, has been submitted to my Department but, having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve it.

Question:

130 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for the Environment the current stage of development of the Ballybay to Old Keady Road water scheme; when funding will be provided in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20966/96]

A design for this proposed group scheme was received in my Department last week and is being examined at present. It is too early at this stage to indicate when the scheme can be progressed.
