132 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for the Environment the plans, if any, he has to fund an adequate sewerage system for Carrigaholt, County Clare, to facilitate tourism development, continued high quality offshore conditions for the expansion of mariculture, and public safety. [21363/96]

An outline proposal was received in my Department in respect of Carrigaholt sewerage in the context of an integrated water supply and sewerage scheme for the west Clare area. Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible, to advance the proposal.
