54 Miss Harney asked the Minister for the Environment whether the statutory guidelines for planning authorities governing the erection of telecommunications antennae and support structures have been finalised; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21131/96]
Guidelines on Telecommunications Antennae and Support Structures were published on 31 July. Copies are available in the Oireachtas Library. While the guidelines have not been issued as policy directives under section 7 of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1982, it is expected that local authorities and An Bord Pleanála will have full regard to them in the exercise of their planning functions.
