I propose to take Questions Nos. 23 and 51 together. The information requested by the Deputies, which has been extracted from records within my Department, is in the form of a tabular statement which will be circulated in the Official Report.
The figures indicate that, while more female teachers than male teachers applied for principal posts to date this year, male teachers secured more appointments than female teachers. In addition, the figures show that the proportion of female teachers applying for principalships is small relative to the overall number of female teachers generally.
