336 Mr. Gallagher (Donegal South-West) asked the Minister for the Marine if he has satisfied himself with the progress to date in relation to the 3,000 tonnage scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22442/96]
Applications under the proposed scheme for the registration of previously unregistered fishing vessels are currently being progressed. All necessary information, documentation and surveys have been requested from applicants in order to determine the number of vessels which would be eligible for registration.
