Domestic Tourism Marketing Initiative
|
To encourage growth in home holidays in the shoulder and off-peak seasons.
|
Economic Evaluation Group
|
To assess country risk for underwriting purposes under the State export credit insurance scheme and to recommend, where appropriate, country exposure limits.
|
Foreign Earnings Committee (FEC)
|
To help maximise foreign earnings by (i) focusing the State's overseas promotional activities on potential areas for increases in trade, tourism and investment and (ii) co-ordinating and enhancing the effectiveness of Ireland's collective promotional efforts abroad.

Great Gardens Restoration Committee
|
To provide planning-design advice to owners of stately gardens applying for European Regional Development Fund grant assistance for restoration works.
|
Inter-Departmental Committee on Economic Co-operation Agreements (IDCCA)
|
To prepare and co-ordinate Ireland's national position in advance of joint economic commissions and, subsequently, to implement any measures agreed.

INTERREG II — Tourism Measure Working Group
|
To assist the INTERREG monitoring committee in monitoring and implementing the tourism measure of the INTERREG programme.
|
Two Advisory Committees on a Multilateral Agreement on Investment (MAI)
|
To ensure there is a co-ordinated Irish view at the OECD negotiating group which is preparing a multilateral agreement on investment.

OPT Monitoring Committee
|
To ensure the smooth implementation of the Operational Programme for Tourism, in pursuit of the objectives set.
|
OPT Co-ordinating Committee
|
To ensure coherent approach to the administration of the Operational Programme for Tourism.
|
Shannon-Erne Joint Co-ordinating Committee
|
To co-ordinate the work of all agencies and Departments involved in the management of the Shannon-Erne waterway; to oversee the marketing of the waterway; and to co-ordinate the development of the tourism potential of the waterway and its immediate corridor.

Tourism Council
|
To act as a national forum for consultation with the tourism industry;
|
|
To act in an advisory capacity to the Minister on tourism policy and its implementation by the State agencies.
|
Trade Advisory Forum
|
To advise and consult on trade matters, in so far as they relate to Irish exporters.
|
Training Management Board
|
To oversee sub-programme 4 — tourism training, of the Operational Programme for Tourism.
