Question:128 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education the progress, if any, made to date in relation to the provision of a new school building (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [22964/96]
Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.
A project for the school to which the Deputy refers was included in my Department's 1995 capital building programme. The inclusion of the project enables it to progress through architectural planning. The Department had proposed an eight classroom school. The school authorities have requested the Department to increase the level of permanent accommodation to be provided in the new school. This matter is currently being examined with my Department. When this examination is complete, the architectural planning of the project can resume.
