Vol. 472 No. 3

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Liam Aylward

Question:

144 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education when it is proposed to provide an extension to a school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny, which was approved in 1994. [23072/96]

A project for the school to which the Deputy refers was included in my Department's 1995 capital building programme. The inclusion of the project has enabled it to progress through architectural planning. The current position on the project is that the working drawings are being finalised. When the architectural planning process has been completed a decision on the timing of the tender-contract process will be taken in light of financial resources available. It is not possible to state at this stage when construction will commence.
