Vol. 472 No. 3

Written Answers. - Donegal County Enterprise Board.

Declan Bree

Question:

248 Mr. Bree asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the moneys paid into the Donegal County Enterprise Board in each of the years from 1993 to 1996. [23041/96]

Donegal County Enterprise Board was established in September 1993. Since then, the board has been very active in the promotion of small and micro-enterprise throughout the county. The information requested, which excludes the standard operating costs of the board is contained in the following table which I am circulating in the Official Report:

Grant Payments 1993-94, 1995 and 1996 (to end September)

* No grants paid in 1993.
The 1994 figure relates to grants drawn down in respect of projects supported by the Donegal County Enterprise Board. The 1995 and 1996 figure relate to grants drawn down by the board for direct enterprise supports — grants — and indirect enterprise supports, for example the provision of advice, information and mentoring activities.
