278 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number of additional clerical staff recruited by his Department to deal with the extra volume of work arising from the introduction of the new movement permit for female non-reactor bovines; and the number of such staff who have been assigned to district veterinary offices in Cork. [23279/96]

The administration of the new movement permit for female cattle, introduced on 16 September last, is being carried out by existing staff resources at the various locations including the DVOs in Cork.
