63 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Finance if he has agreed to the proposal to have a non-means tested grant made available to dwelling houses in order to reduce the adverse effects to health of radon gas; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22969/96]

Estimates for Public Services for 1997 are presently being finalised by Government. It is intended that they will be published in early December 1996. It would not be appropriate for me, therefore, to anticipate what they may or may not contain in advance of their presentation to Dáil Éireann.
