Written Answers. - Aural Services.

Cecilia Keaveney

Question:

52 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Health the help, if any, available for people who need hearing aids and who currently hold a medical card; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23583/96]

Limerick East): Medical card holders have entitlement to the aural treatment services provided by health boards and to the provision, as necessary, of heaing aids.

Health boards have arrangements with the National Rehabilitation Board under which the board supplies hearing aids to those suffering from hearing loss.
