Vol. 473 No. 1

Written Answers. - Investigation into Death.

Tony Gregory

Question:

140 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health if his Department has received a complaint from a person (details supplied) in Dublin 18 regarding the circumstances of her husband's death; if so, if the complaint was thoroughly investigated; and the outcome of such investigation. [24575/96]

Limerick East): Representations have been made to my Department on behalf of a person regarding the circumstances of her husband's death at a Dublin hospital. Inquiries have been made of the hospital concerned, which has advised that the matter is currently the subject of legal proceedings. In the circumstances I do not consider it appropriate to comment on the case at this time.
