Limerick East): As the Deputy is aware, the development of community hospitals in the Southern Health Board region is, in the first instance, the responsibility of the board. I have received a copy of the Southern Health Board's Community Hospitals Development Plan, 1997-2000, and this is currently being examined by my Department. Funding for the proposals contained with the board's plan will be considered in the light of the board's internal priorities and the overall capital funding available to my department.
