228 Mr. O'Dea asked the Minister for Education if she has received an application for four extra classrooms from St. Bridget's national school (details supplied) in Singlard, Limerick; if so, if she will respond favourably to this request in view of the urgent need for extra classrooms; and when a decision will be made regarding this application. [24419/96]

My Department has received an application for additional accommodation at St. Brigid's national school. The application is under consideration at present and my Department will be touch with the school authorities shortly.

229 Mr. O'Dea asked the Minister for Education the current position in relation to an application for extra classrooms by St. Nessan's national school, Mungret, Limerick. [24420/96]

My Department accepts the need for additional accommodation at St. Nessan's. Arrangements have been made to initiate the planning process. The school authorities will be kept informed of progress.
