Question:269 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice when funding will be allocated for repairs to a Garda station (details supplied) in County Mayo in order to bring the building up to a reasonable standard. [24358/96]
Written Answers. - Garda Stations.
It is proposed to refurbish and extend the existing Garda station at this location. The project has been advanced to sketch scheme stage. In the meantime the Office of Public Works is in the process of acquiring additional land in order to improve the access to the Garda station.
It is not possible to say when work is likely to commence on this project as it is dependent on overall priorities and the availability of finance.
