Vol. 473 No. 1

Written Answers. - National Lottery Funding.

Ivor Callely

Question:

337 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the total amount of national lottery moneys received to date by his Department; if he will give details of the allocation of such moneys to projects; if there are any commitments in regard to future disbursement of such funds; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24478/96]

In 1991 a total of £940,581 was provided from national lottery funds for the capital and non capital expenses of the National Botanic Gardens. On 9 January 1992 the responsibility for the gardens was transferred to the Minister for Finance.

This is the only occasion on which my Department has received money from the national lottery and there are no commitments in regard to future disbursement of such funds.
