I echo Deputy Bertie Ahern's congratulations to Deputy Wallace on progressing the Bill this far. I also congratulate the Minister on accepting it. This is a triumph for the committee system. The Select Committee on Finance and General Affairs has considered the Electoral (Amendment) Bill, 1996, and has made amendments thereto. The Bill, as amended, is hereby reported to the Dáil.
