87 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Education when tenders will be invited in respect of the provision of additional permanent accommodation at Ballyhaise national school, County Cavan; when work will commence; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [24891/96]
The current position on the project at Ballyhaise national school is that my Department advised the school management that it was in order for their consultant architect to prepare the contract documentation. When this is finalised, a decision on the timing of the tender process will be taken in light of existing contractual commitments and funds available for 1997. Both of these matters are currently under consideration. Accordingly, I am not in a position to state when tenders will be invited or when the work will commence.
