173 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Health the current waiting time for children requiring treatment by ophthalmologists in the hospital service in Dublin. [1504/97]

Limerick East): In all cases, appointments for medical treatment are allocated on the basis of medical priority and emergencies are seen immediately. The average waiting time for children requiring routine treatment by ophthalmologists in the hospital service in Dublin varies from one to six months.
