266 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for the Environment the number of house constructions approved by his Department for Westmeath County Council and Athlone Urban District Council, for each of the years from 1987 to date; the actual number of houses constructed or purchased by each of the local authorities concerned for each of the years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1443/97]
I refer to the reply to Question No. 95 of 21 February 1996 which provides the information sought for the earlier years. The figures for 1995 and 1996 are set out in the following table:
