284 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for the Environment his views on when EU approval for the funding of the Burren-north Clare water services plan will be forthcoming. [1697/97]
285 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for the Environment the position regarding the financing of the Burren-north Clare water services plan by the EU. [1698/97]
286 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for the Environment the priority, if any, which has been accorded within his Department to the Burren-north Clare water services plan application for EU Cohesion Funding. [1699/97]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 284, 285 and 286 together.
The European Commission has before it a number of Irish applications for Cohesion Funding, including one in respect of the Burren-north Clare. It is expected that decisions on aid commitments for 1997 will be made by the Commission within the next two months. My Department does not prioritise applications in submitting them for Cohesion support.
287 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment the current position regarding a sewerage scheme (details supplied) in County Mayo; and if funding will be approved in order to carry out the necessary marine survey. [1700/97]
A brief for the proposed sewerage scheme at Killala, together with contract documents for a survey of the outfall location, are being examined in my Department at present. A decision will be made on the contract for the outfall survey as soon as possible.
