Vol. 473 No. 4

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Thomas P. Broughan

Question:

390 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Education if she will ensure that a facility at a school (details supplied) in Dublin 13 gets the final goahead in early 1997. [1689/97]

It is the policy of my Department to provide physical education facilities on a phased basis at all second-level schools where such facilities are not already available. Provision was made for the architectural planning of PE halls at 12 schools, in the 1996 capital programme, which includes the school in question. The progress of provision of these PE halls is being considered in the context of the 1997 capital allocation.
