Vol. 473 No. 4

Written Answers. - Department Relocation Cost.

Hugh Byrne

Question:

564 Mr. H. Byrne asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the financial provision, if any, which has been made in the Estimate for his Department in respect of the cost of relocating to Johnstown Castle, County Wexford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1659/97]

There has been no provision made in the 1997 Estimate of the Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry in respect of the cost of relocating to Johnstown Castle, County Wexford. The cost of building the office premises is a matter for the Office of Public Works.

A contractor for the building which should be completed in 1998 will be appointed shortly. Provision will have to be made in the Estimate of the Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry in 1998 for the fitting out of the office.
