Question:591 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the outcome of the report by the consultants nominated by the European Broadcasting Union on multi-channel television. [1682/97]
Written Answers. - Multi-Channel Television Report.
The report to which the Deputy refers has not yet been completed. As the House will be aware these consultants are to advise me on technical issues relating to an application from South Coast Community TV for a licence to operate a television retransmission service in the ultra high frequency (UHF) band.
I expect to have the consultants report in the near future and I will make a decision on the application as soon as possible thereafter.
