115 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the current position in relation to having low interest loans made available to small farmers for upgrading milking, milk storage and other facilities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4049/97]

I have no plans at present to make low interest loans available for the purpose indicated. Grants have been made available to small scale dairy producers over a number of years in the past from co-responsibility levy funds and Structural Funds for this purpose.
