Vol. 475 No. 1

Written Answers. - Speech Therapy Service.

Michael Finucane

Question:

113 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Health if she will provide a weekly speech therapy service for a school (details supplied) in County Limerick in view of the fact that this school is in a disadvantaged area. [4377/97]

Limerick East): The provision of speech therapy services in County Limerick is a matter for the Mid-Western Health Board. The board has indicated that the speech therapy service at the school in question was discontinued last September due to staff shortages. However, I understand that the board is currently making alternative arrangements for the provision of a service at the school.
