I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Gallagher (Laoighis-Offaly)— the urgent need to provide a new Garda station for Tullamore, County Offaly in view of the risk to the health and safety of the Garda Síochána and the public arising from the condition of the existing station; (2) Deputy Ring — the need to instruct the Western Health Board to appoint a dentist for the Belmullet area, County Mayo, either in a temporary or permanent capacity, in view of the delays in providing dental treatment for young people in the area; (3) Deputy Flaherty — the urgent need to resolve the industrial relations problems in the Department of Education in light of the cancellation of the applied leaving certificate assessments which affect 3,000 students; (4) Deputy Lynch — the need to devise a system whereby all exclusions from school are notified immediately to the Department of Education; (5) Deputy Martin — the need to provide immediate funding to the Cork National School Project for additional space and basic sanitary facilities in the interests of public health; (6) Deputy Michael Kitt — the need for improvement works on any RTÉ transmitter which could lead to quality reception for RTÉ 1, Network 2 and Teilifís na Gaeilge in the United Kingdom as requested by Irish emigrants; (7) Deputy Shortall — the need to put the home help service on a proper footing to ensure standardisation of service and rates of pay; (8) Deputy Joe Walsh — the implementation of the EU voluntary calf slaughter policy in Ireland; (9) Deputy Raphael Burke — the overcrowded and totally inadequate rail service from Balbriggan, Skerries, Rush, Lusk, Donabate, Malahide and Portmarnock, County Dublin, to and from the city; (10) Deputy Tom Kitt — the measures being taken in response to the study by Barnardo's child care workers in relation to young people involved in prostitution in the Dublin area.
