Question:147 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Health the reason he is not reappointing representatives from his Department on the St. James's Hospital Board; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4423/97]

Limerick East): There is only one Department of Health representative on the board of St. James's Hospital. The term of office of that member does not expire until 5 December 1997. The issue of reappointment does not, therefore, fall to be considered at this time.
