163 Kathleen Lynch asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the position in relation to the request by a local community group to have repairs carried out at an old cemetery on Iniskeel Island, Portnoo, County Donegal and at Doon Fort in the immediate area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The sixth century monastic site on Inishkeel Island and the nearby Doon Fort are not in State ownership and, consequently, the carrying out of works at the site is not a matter for the National Monuments and Historic Properties Service of my Department.
