Vol. 475 No. 1

Written Answers. - Water and Sewarage Schemes.

Ray Burke

Question:

192 Mr. R. Burke asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the urgent need for a sewerage scheme for the Corballis area of Donabate, County Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4476/97]

No specific proposals in relation to the provision of a sewerage scheme for the Corballis area have been submitted to my Department.

Fingal County Council are, however, preparing a series of briefs for treatment works, including provision for the Portrane-Donabate area. An application for co-financing from the Cohesion Fund in relation to the planning of these treatment works has recently been submitted to the European Commission but no decision has yet been made.

Kathleen Lynch

Question:

193 Kathleen Lynch asked the Minister for the Environment the progress, if any, which has been made with regard to the proposed sewerage scheme for Carndonagh, County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4490/97]

The position is unchanged since the reply to Question No. 121 of 8 October 1996.
