The data relates to health board employment at 31 December 1995, the latest date for which information is available. Information in relation to numbers at 31 December 1996 is being compiled at present.
While health agencies are responsible for the management of services, including the employment of staff, I am fully committed to the principles of equality and anxious that each health agency observe best practice in this regard.
