Vol. 475 No. 5

Written Answers - Projects Funding.

Brendan Smith

Question:

111 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Health the projects which will be funded in the North-Eastern Health Board area under the 1997 capital budget allocation. [5488/97]

Limerick East): The health capital programme for 1997 has not yet been finalised. The intention is that the programme will contain provision for the maximum number of projects in the board's area which it is possible to accommodate within the limit of the resources available. There are a number of projects which are in planning or construction, and provision will be made for these in the 1997 programme. The main projects involved are at Our Lady's Hospital, Navan, Louth County Hospital, health centres in Dunshaughlin and Monaghan, and a nursing unit in Drogheda. Various other community facilities will also be provided for to the maximum extent possible.
