Vol. 475 No. 6

Written Answers. - Garda Catchment Areas.

Ivor Callely

Question:

131 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Justice the catchment areas, population, number of houses, businesses, parks and open spaces in respect of Garda Stations in Coolock, Clontarf, Raheny, Santry, Whitehall, and Fitzgibbon Street, Dublin. [5529/97]

I have consulted the Garda authorities and from the information available to them, the following chart provides some of the details sought by the Deputy. They stress the point that the number of houses and businesses in an area changes regularly and the figure quoted must be taken in that light. The population figures are based on the 1991 census figures. Figures marked with an * denote approximate.
