205 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for Justice the number of cases by each crime category in each of the past five years in which a decision was made to apply the juvenile diversion programme as an alternative to prosecution; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [6327/97]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that detailed information in relation to the Garda juvenile diversion programme is published in the Garda Commissioner's annual report on crime, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library.
