Question:75 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Finance when a VAT refund will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick in view of the fact that details have been submitted in 1996 in this regard. [6169/97]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that they received the claim in question on 14 February 1997. However, some aspects of the claim require further clarification. When the necessary clarifications have been obtained, any refund due will be paid as a matter of urgency.
